Gold-Coloured Leaf For Gilded Clay And Decor
FIMO leaf metal 8781-11 gives you 10 sheets of gold-coloured metal leaf, 14 x 14 cm each, to add a gilded look to modelling clay and craft pieces.
Gold is the classic choice for a touch of luxury: the edge of a clay pendant, crackled gold over a bead, gilded letters for a sign or the rim of a small bowl. Staedtler describe it as an easy embellishing technique that creates impressive surface effects and adheres to many surfaces, so it is not limited to FIMO.
The leaf is extremely thin. Pick it up with a dry brush or tweezers rather than damp fingers, then smooth it down or break it into flakes for a distressed finish. Copper 8781-26 and silver 8781-81 complete the set of three colours.
Gold liquid FIMO and more finishes are in the FIMO range; earring hooks and chains are in craft jewellery supplies.
