FIMO effect metallic gold, article 8010-11, is a 57g standard block of oven-bake modelling clay with a bright, highly brilliant gold shine.
Gold is the workhorse of the metallic range. It edges a pendant, picks out a bee's stripes, makes a crown for a figurine or turns a plain bead into a Christmas bauble. Mineral mica particles give the shimmer, and Staedtler suggest the metallic colours for mica shift projects as well.
For extra sparkle, Staedtler say that varnishing, or grinding and polishing the baked piece, creates a particularly noble deep brilliance. Gold also teams with our FIMO gold leaf metal and FIMO liquid gold for gilded detail.
Gold arrives as a soft, smooth block scored into 8 portions, and it mixes with FIMO soft, leather-effect and professional. Its wrapper calls for 110°C and 30 minutes of baking; Staedtler list Germany as where it is made.
