Aged Bronze Shine For Clay Jewellery And Decor
FIMO effect 8010-71 is metallic antique bronze, a 57g block of oven-hardening clay with a warm brown-bronze metallic sheen from mineral mica particles.
Antique bronze looks like old coins and weathered brass rather than bright new metal. That makes it a good choice for steampunk pieces, faux-metal buttons and clasps, vintage-style pendants and rustic accents, and it sits nicely beside green, cream and leather-effect clays.
Staedtler describe the metallic line as having a highly brilliant metallic shine and recommend it for mica shift projects, where the mica is aligned by rolling and then sliced to create a ghost image. After baking, varnish or grinding and polishing produces what Staedtler call a particularly noble deep brilliance.
Scored into 8 portions, the block works with FIMO soft, leather-effect and professional too. Bake bronze pieces for 30 minutes at 110°C. Its country of manufacture, per Staedtler, is Germany.
