Frosty White Clay With A Silver Glint
FIMO effect galaxy white, code 8010-002, is a white 57g block of oven-bake modelling clay with fine sparkling mica scattered through it.
Against plain white clay it has a frosted, snowy shimmer, so it is a natural pick for winter and Christmas ornaments, bridal or pearl-look jewellery, and stars to hang on a galaxy mobile. Because it is white, it can also lift and lighten the darker galaxy shades when you marble or blend them.
Staedtler aim the galaxy range especially at beginners and hobby artists and describe it as soft and smooth. The block is scored into 8 portions and works with FIMO soft, leather-effect and professional. For more glitter after baking, Staedtler suggest varnishing, or grinding and polishing.
A 30 minute bake at 110°C sets it hard. Germany is the country of manufacture Staedtler give for the galaxy line.
