Night-Sky Navy With A Scatter Of Sparkle
FIMO effect 8010-352 is galaxy blue: a 57g standard block of oven-hardening modelling clay in a deep navy shade flecked with sparkling mineral mica particles.
The look is a clear night sky, which is why galaxy blue turns up in moon pendants, star charms, celestial earrings and swirled keyrings. Staedtler note that varnishing, or grinding and polishing after baking, brings out a particularly glittering deep brilliance.
Scored lines split the block into 8 portions, handy for measuring out blends. Staedtler describe galaxy as an effective addition to their other oven-hardening clays and list it as compatible with FIMO soft, leather-effect and professional, so a twist of blue through plain black or white is an easy way to stretch a block.
The pack icon gives the hardening as 110°C for 30 minutes in an ordinary kitchen oven, and Staedtler name Germany as the country of manufacture.
