The FIMO stamp kit 8700 09 from Staedtler is a red plastic holder with 88 slot-in characters for stamping lettering into soft FIMO and FIMOair clay.
Pick the characters you need off the sprue, slide them into the holder in order and press the line into the clay before it is hardened. Staedtler give the letter height as approx. 5 mm and the holder as approx. 10 cm long, so a short word, a name or a date fits on one pass.
The set holds 49 letters from A to Z, 19 numbers from 0 to 9 and 20 special characters. That is enough to spell most names, repeat common letters and add punctuation or symbols. Staedtler's own examples show herb labels for jars and a slab stamped STAEDTLER + FIMO.
Typical uses include gift tags, plant markers, keyring fobs, ornaments with a year on them, labels for classroom displays and personalised jewellery pieces. Staedtler aim the kit at beginners and hobby artists.
