Make Clay That Looks Like Faded Jeans
The FIMO How-to-create denim design set, 8025 HTC2, has everything needed to give polymer clay the woven texture and stitching of denim: clay, a piece of jeans fabric, a white paint marker and two modelling tools.
The method is simple. Press the fabric into rolled blue clay to pick up the weave, cut out pockets, patches or earring shapes, then draw white stitch lines with the Staedtler Lumocolor paint marker. A step-by-step leaflet walks through it, and Staedtler aim the set at beginners and hobby artists.
Inside the carton are 4 half blocks of 25 g each: white, a pale blue, and two windsor blue. The box gives 30 minutes at 110°C as the oven setting for finished pieces.
It makes a good gift for a teenager or adult getting into clay jewellery. Staedtler note set contents can change.
