Shimmering Shell Swirls From Four Metallic Clays
The abalone design How-to-create set (FIMO 8025 HTC4) shows how to marble four metallic clays into the swirling blue, lilac and pearl look of an abalone shell, then seal it with gloss varnish.
Thin layers of each colour are stacked, twisted and rolled out until the stripes run together like shell. Cut the sheet into earring drops, ring tops, pendants or coasters, and brush on the included 10 ml FIMO gloss varnish after baking for a wet-look shine. Staedtler suggest the technique for jewellery, home decor and accessories.
The box holds 4 half blocks of 25 g, a modelling roller, a modelling stick and step-by-step instructions. Bake the shaped pieces at 110°C for 30 minutes.
