LX870: 40 Sheets, Flat Clinched, Standing Up When Not In Use
When the job is thicker reports rather than single letters, the black LX870 EasyPress takes up to 40 sheets and closes each staple flat on the back.
It sits at the top of Fellowes' LX desk stapler line. The flat clinch folds the legs down level with the paper, so bound reports and tender submissions stack neatly instead of catching on each other, and the EasyPress action is there to make a 40 sheet set manageable by hand.
Staples are 26/6 or 24/6, loaded a full strip at a time; there is a low staple window and a soft-grip handle, and Fellowes list it as able to stand upright to save space on the desk. Unlike the LX850 and LX840, the LX870 has no built-in staple remover, so keep a separate one nearby. Fellowes give it as 99 mm high, 164 mm long and 38 mm wide, at 0.35 kg.
Microban appears in Fellowes' name for the stapler, without a published test standard; no claim is made here about it. Fellowes Australia list a 10 year warranty.
