Breyta Plus+ Medium Left: A Vertical Mouse for Left-Handers
The Breyta Plus+ Medium Left is shaped for the left hand rather than adapted from an ambidextrous design, and sized for hand measurements of 16.5 to 18 cm.
It mirrors the right-handed Plus+: the 60 degree tilt puts a left hand in Fellowes' handshake position, with the thumb buttons on the side where a left thumb lands. It connects three ways, Bluetooth, dongle or cable, and its five buttons sit over an optical sensor adjustable between 400 and 2400 dpi. Soft-click buttons keep it quiet.
The battery is rechargeable, lasting up to 4 months of average use by Fellowes' figure, with a full charge in around 2 hours. Microban is built in too; Fellowes describe it as an added level of product protection and name no test standard. FIRA International tested the design against EN ISO 9241-5.
Left-handers can finish the desk with mouse pads and keyboard and palm rests; more shapes are in ergonomic mice and Fellowes.
