AutoMax 550C: Continuous Duty for Busy Departments
The AutoMax 550C is built for offices of five or more people: its drawer holds 550 sheets and Fellowes give it a continuous duty cycle, so it does not stop to cool down between loads.
A full 550 sheet load takes about 13 minutes by Fellowes' figure, with every page reduced to P-4 cross cut pieces of 4 x 38 mm. The waste goes into an 83 litre pull-out bin inside a tall cabinet on castors. The 14 sheet manual slot is there for CDs, credit cards and urgent single pages.
SmartLock engages with each cycle and locks the paper drawer behind a 4 digit PIN until the job is done, which matters when invoices or contracts are left to run. AccuFeed means folded, crumpled, stapled and paper clipped sheets need no sorting. A touch screen, SilentShred, Auto Reverse and two minute Sleep Mode round it out, with a 2 year machine and 20 year cutter warranty from Fellowes.
