The Large Penguin, For Hands Over 18 cm
Fellowes' Penguin is a vertical mouse with a symmetrical body, and this is the large wireless model, the size Fellowes recommend for hands longer than 18 cm.
The Penguin holds your hand upright rather than palm down. Because the body is the same on both sides, a bow tie switch in the middle of the front sets it up for right or left-handed use, so one mouse can serve a desk shared by different people, or a user who swaps hands through the day.
It connects without a cable, through its USB dongle or over Bluetooth. Fellowes list it as working with Linux, Windows 2000 and Windows 7, 8, 10 and 11, Mac OS X 10.6 and later, HarmonyOS 2.0 and later, and Google Chrome. The base is made to glide, with a laser sensor and scroll wheel for tracking and scrolling through long documents.
BioCote antimicrobial protection appears in Fellowes' feature list for the Penguin. No test standard accompanies it, and we leave its effect undescribed. Fellowes report FIRA International testing of the Penguin to EN ISO 9241-5.
