A Back Support With a Pocket for a Warm or Cool Pack
The Fellowes Professional Series Heat and Soothe Back Support 9190001 adds one thing the other Fellowes back supports do not have: a front pocket holding a reusable gel pack that can be warmed or chilled, so you choose the temperature of the support behind you.
The support itself is a slim black cushion with soft touch fabric, 368.3mm wide and 346.1mm high by Fellowes figures, held on by an adjustable strap and buckle that Fellowes say fits most modern office chairs. The gel pack, printed Reusable HOT or COLD, slides into a clear pocket on the front panel. Fellowes supply an instruction insert covering how to warm it in a microwave or cool it in a refrigerator, with heating times and warnings, and it is attached to this page as a download.
Follow that insert closely: the gel pack is for external use, should not go directly against skin, and Fellowes say to replace it after a year. FIRA International tested the support against EN ISO 9241-5, according to Fellowes, and the support carries a 5-year limited warranty. Without the gel pack fitted it works as a plain slim back support.
