The Fellowes Helios 60 is a large office thermal binder that glues documents into thermal covers, with a combined capacity of 60mm or about 600 sheets per cycle.
Thermal binding needs no punching and no combs. Load the pages into a thermal cover, open the document clamp and stand the cover in the binding channel. ThermoSense detects the thickness and picks the binding cycle, so nobody has to guess a time setting.
Several documents can be bound side by side in one run, which is where the Helios 60 earns its place in a print room. The manual gives cycles from 60 seconds for a 6mm spine to 180 seconds at 60mm, with a single document up to 500 sheets. Bound copies go onto the integral cooling rack at the back.
The HeatShield document clamp keeps hands away from the hot plate, the machine warms up in about 4 minutes, and Auto Shut Off puts it into standby after 30 minutes without use. It folds flat for storage, and Fellowes give a 2 year warranty. The full manual is downloadable on this page.
