Galaxy-E 130: Electric Punching for High Volume Wire Binding
The Galaxy-E 130 is the electric version of the Fellowes Galaxy wire binder: a button punches 20 sheets at a time, taking the hand effort out of long binding runs.
Where a manual binder tires the operator on a big job, the Galaxy-E motor does the punching. The manual rates it for moderate use of 75 to 100 books a day, with a duty cycle of 30 minutes on and 30 minutes off and a thermal cut-out that resets itself if the motor overheats.
Binding capacity is about 130 sheets on 14mm wire, using 34 loop combs at 3:1 pitch. A4 and A5 punch selection, an adjustable edge guide and preselectable closure control match the manual Galaxy, and an overload light with a reset routine on the punch button deals with an overfilled punch.
The front access tray holds supplies and carries the wire and document measure, and clippings fall into a dual access waste tray of about 3000 sheets. Fellowes pack a starter kit for binding 20 documents and give a 2 year warranty. Download the manual from this page.
