White LX840: A Short, Light-Press Stapler For Home And Study
Fellowes LX840 in white is a half-strip EasyPress stapler for the home desk or student study corner, rated to 25 sheets and short enough to live in a drawer.
At about 130 mm from end to end it takes up little room next to a laptop, and the white and grey finish sits quietly on a pale desk. The EasyPress mechanism is Fellowes' way of reducing the push needed, which helps when stapling assignments, forms or bill paperwork in one sitting.
A staple remover detaches from the back of the base for pulling out a misplaced staple, and an alignment guide helps square the edge of each set. The handle is soft to grip and a window shows the staple level. Staples are 26/6 or 24/6, refilled in half strips because of the shorter magazine. Fellowes give the weight as 0.25 kg and the width as 39 mm.
Microban is included in Fellowes' product name for the LX840, with no test standard published, so we leave its effect undescribed. Fellowes Australia list the LX840 with a 10 year warranty.
