Fortishred 1050HS: P-7 Particles at the Desk Where Secrets Are Handled
The Fortishred 1050HS is a deskside high security shredder that reduces each A4 sheet to roughly 15,000 particles of 0.8 x 5 mm, security level P-7, the top paper level in DIN 66399.
It exists for the person whose papers should never leave the office in readable form. Fellowes pitch it at individual users handling highly confidential information, so documents can be destroyed at the desk right after use instead of waiting in a tray for a shared machine. The trade-off for that tiny particle is a 4 sheet pass on 70gsm paper.
A continuous duty motor means it can shred whenever needed. An electronically controlled safety shield over the 240 mm paper entry stops the cutters when it is lifted, and Sleep Mode powers it down after 30 minutes without use. Because the particles are so small, Fellowes note the 35 litre pull-out bin fills more slowly. The cabinet is on castors and Fellowes Australia cover it for 1 year on the machine and cutters.
