Fine Straight Pins For Fabric And Maps
Esselte 45115 Short Whites are 25mm straight pins with small heads, sold by weight in a 50 gram pack, for pinning fabric, paper patterns and fine points on a map.
These have no grip head of any kind, just a small metal head on a fine shank. The current pack lists two uses: pin-pointing on maps, and textiles and materials. That makes them a workroom staple for hems, alterations, costume and display work, and for holding samples or swatches on a board.
ACCO describe them as nickel plated. Short Whites is the traditional trade name; the pins themselves are silver coloured, and the pack prints Silver.
Because they are sold by weight, Esselte do not print a pin count.
