Esselte 35144 is a one-piece stainless steel letter opener for the daily mail run, slim enough to slide under an envelope flap and run along the fold in one stroke.
ACCO describe it as opening letters easily without damaging the documents inside, which is the point of an opener over a finger or a pair of scissors: the tapered blade travels along the top edge and leaves cheques, contracts and photos intact. The handle is flat with a round hole at the end, so it can hang on a hook or sit flat in a desk tray.
