A Wide 70mm Jaw With Room For A Label
Esselte 2042040 is the 70mm bulldog clip, code 0510, in a box of 12, the largest of the three labelled Esselte bulldog sizes and the one for binder sized stacks.
A 70mm jaw spreads the clamping force across most of the short edge of an A4 sheet, which keeps a thick stack from fanning out when it is carried or hung. ACCO describe a powerful spring for secure holding.
Like the 32mm and 51mm sizes, the clip has a crevice across the front for a label and a hole in the lever for hanging. On a 70mm clip that label area is the widest in the range, which helps when you are sorting large piles into batches across a table or an archive shelf.
Esselte also list a heavy duty 70mm clip as code 31796, described by ACCO as SPCC steel with a nickel plated hang hole.
