A night sky underfoot for calm group time
The Elizabeth Richards Mosaic Sky Rug, supplier code ERRUGMSKY, is a 2m x 3m classroom rug with a mosaic-style pattern inspired by the night sky, giving a 6m² sitting area.
Elizabeth Richards designs the rug in deep tones to create a calm, welcoming atmosphere for group time, story sessions and quiet reading corners. The supplier lists a cut-pile surface on a non-slip latex backing, approximately 8mm thick. It suggests the rug for group gatherings, classroom discussions, mindfulness and collaborative activities in early childhood and primary settings.
A defined rug gives a reading corner or discussion space a clear edge, so children know where the activity happens. The cut-pile surface is for sitting on, and the latex backing helps it stay put. Elizabeth Richards notes colours may look slightly different in person due to studio lighting.
Vacuum the rug shortly after opening to remove dust from transit, as the supplier suggests. Browse more classroom carpets and rugs, classroom seating for reading corners, early learning and sensory resources and the Elizabeth Richards range.
