Sydney the Sloth brings weight and softness to quiet time
The Elizabeth Richards Weighted Soothing Sloth, supplier code ERWSS and known as Sydney the Sloth, is a 1.8kg plush sloth, 47cm long from head to paw, for calming sensory input.
Elizabeth Richards describes the sloth as ideal for children who benefit from deep pressure stimulation to support emotional regulation and a sense of calm. The supplier says it offers comforting reassurance at home, in the classroom or on the go, and that its soft, textured fur adds tactile input for relaxation and quiet time.
The supplier suggests the sloth for self-regulation during transitions, rest time or therapy, and as a fidget or cuddle tool in classrooms or calming corners. It has a 100% polyester outer with polyester and glass bead filling, and it travels in a reusable calico drawstring bag.
Hand wash only under 30°C with a mild detergent, rinse cold and do not tumble dry. Explore more sensory toys, early learning and sensory resources, weighted and calming supports and the Elizabeth Richards range.
