A textured silicone ruler shape for busy hands at the desk
The Elizabeth Richards Busy Fingers Tactile Ruler, supplier code ERBFTR, is a textured silicone sensory tool shaped like a ruler, for students who find it hard to sit still at their desks.
Elizabeth Richards describes it as practical and socially acceptable in a school setting, giving children sensory input during class or homework. The brand states it is manufactured from FDA-approved food-grade silicone. It measures 32 cm long and 8 cm wide, and the supplier notes it is not intended as a measuring device.
Because it looks like ordinary desk equipment, a student can use it for tactile input without drawing attention. The textured surface gives busy fingers something to work on during desk work or homework, and the ruler shape suits classroom, home and therapy settings alike.
Keep the tactile ruler with other calm-down tools so students can reach for it during desk work. Find more fidget and calming resources in sensory toys and early learning sensory, or browse the Elizabeth Richards range and teacher resources.
