Clear, textured shells for hands-on sensory play
EDX Education Transparent Tactile Shells Jar of 72, supplier code 13841J, holds 72 transparent shells that EDX sizes at 4cm each for the jar of 72.
EDX describes the Transparent Tactile Shells as a way to give youngsters sensory experiences. Children can use three of their five senses, sight, sound and touch, to explore the shells. EDX also makes a jar of 36 with larger 5.4cm shells, so check which size suits your group before ordering.
The clear shells give children something to look at as well as handle. Their textured surfaces invite little fingers to explore by touch, and the jar keeps all 72 together between sessions. A jar this size works well for a small group sharing at a table.
Set the shells out on a tray and let children explore them at their own pace. Browse more from the EDX Education range, other sensory toys, early learning sensory resources and the wider educational supplies catalogue.
