Rope-linked stepping stones for balance trails
EDX Education Step-a-Stones, EDX item code 63050, is a set of 6 flat-topped plastic stones joined by adjustable ropes, with an activity guide, for balance and coordination play.
EDX lists the platform top at 22cm diameter, the base at 30cm diameter and the height at 13cm; the distributor's listing gives 23cm and 32cm for the top and base. Each stone has a textured, slip-resistant top. Made from strong polypropylene, the stones can support an adult's weight. EDX lists an age range of 3 to 6 years.
Adjusting the ropes changes the gap between stones, so children progress from short steps to longer strides as confidence and core strength grow. The distributor notes extra sets can be added for longer trails, and EDX suggests colour games where children step onto a called colour.
Link two sets for a longer trail. See the EDX Education range, more physical education equipment, early learning resources and the wider educational supplies catalogue for schools, centres and families.
