Sticks, balls and quarter circles for building 2D and 3D shapes
EDX Education Skeletal Starter Geo Set, EDX item code 21372C, is a construction set of 80 sticks, 40 connecting balls and 24 quarter circles with 20 two-sided activity cards.
EDX lists the 80 sticks in four sizes and four colours, and the 40 connecting balls in two colours. Children build two and three dimensional structures, and EDX says the set introduces basic geometric shapes. Everything is supplied in a sturdy container. EDX lists an age range of 3 to 12 years, so the set can follow children well into primary school.
EDX says the set improves fine motor skills and develops creative and problem solving skills. The 20 activity cards show dozens of shapes and objects to recreate, and the straight and curved pieces click together easily so children can make creations with moving parts.
