Knock down numbered skittles while learning numbers
EDX Education Number Skittles, EDX item code 26300, is a set of 10 numbered skittles and 2 balls packed in a vinyl carry bag for active number play.
EDX designs the set to develop gross motor skills while improving basic maths skills. The distributor gives the skittle size as 70mm x 230mm and suggests the game could be adapted for older children to practise simple addition. EDX lists an age range of 18 months to 8 years, which covers toddler rooms through the early school years.
EDX lists number recognition, hand-eye coordination and gross motor skills as the main learning gains. Children roll a ball, then read the numbers on the skittles they knock down, and older children can add the numbers together. The vinyl carry bag keeps all 12 pieces in one place.
Set it up in a PE lesson or a maths rotation. See the EDX Education range, more physical education equipment, early learning resources and the wider educational supplies catalogue for schools, centres and families.
