A jar of bright pebbles for little hands to sort and build
EDX Education Junior Rainbow Pebbles, EDX item code 13227J, is a jar of 36 smooth plastic pebbles in three shapes and six bright colours, with an activity guide included.
EDX describes this construction and early mathematics manipulative as a special design in large sizes. The 36 pebbles come in a storage jar with a lid and carry handle, and the distributor lists them as plastic, smooth and odd-shaped. EDX lists an age range of 18 months to 99 years. An earth colour version is sold separately under code 13229J.
EDX lists the pebbles for developing fine motor skills and for counting, sorting and creative designs. Young children can practise matching, patterning and making pictures, and EDX notes that the materials help children learn valuable language and classification skills during play.
The included activity guide gives adults a starting point for play. Browse the EDX Education range, sensory toys, early learning and sensory resources and more maths equipment for hands-on learning at school or home.
