Derwent Inktense Pencils are a water-soluble pencil that works dry or with water. Add water and the colour transforms into a vibrant, ink-like finish. Once dry, the colour is fixed and permanent - making it suitable for use on fabric such as silk and cotton as well as paper.
Each pencil features a round barrel with colour dip end, a large colour strip for expressive gestures, and a firm laydown more like a pen than a traditional pencil. Colours dry quickly with minimal bleed, so shades can be placed next to each other cleanly. This box of 6 contains the Mustard shade (reference 1700).
