Derwent Inktense Pencils are a water-soluble pencil that delivers vibrant, ink-like colour when activated with water. Once dry, the colour fixes permanently, making these pencils suitable for use on fabric such as silk and cotton as well as paper. The Deep Indigo shade (colour reference 1100) comes in a round stained ink blue barrel with a colour dip end and metallic blue trim.
The firm laydown and large colour strip allow for expressive gestures and bright, intense colour. Colours dry quickly with minimal bleed, so adjacent shades can be placed next to each other cleanly. Each box contains 6 pencils. Popular with illustrators, flower artists and fashion designers.
