Derwent Inktense Pencils are water-soluble pencils that deliver smooth, vibrant colour when used dry and transform into rich, ink-like washes when activated with water. Once dry, the colour is permanent - making these pencils suitable for use on fabric such as silk and cotton, as well as paper. The Tangerine shade (colour reference 0300) comes in a round, stained ink blue barrel with a colour dip end and metallic blue trim.
Each pencil features a large colour strip for expressive mark-making, with a firm laydown that handles more like a pen than a traditional pencil. Colours dry quickly with minimal bleed, so adjacent shades can be placed side by side without running. Supplied as a box of 6 pencils. Suited to illustrators, flower artists and fashion designers.
