Derwent Inktense Pencils are a water-soluble coloured pencil that transforms when water is applied - dry colour becomes vibrant, ink-like pigment that fixes permanently once dry. The Sherbet Lemon shade (colour reference 0100) comes in a box of 6 pencils, each with a round stained ink blue barrel, colour dip end, and metallic blue trim.
Once dry, the fixed colour can be worked over without reactivating, making these pencils suitable for use on fabric such as silk and cotton as well as paper. Colours dry quickly with minimal bleed, so adjacent shades stay distinct. Popular with illustrators, flower artists, and fashion designers.
