The Derwent Academy Watercolour Pencil in Bronze (colour 52) combines the precision of a pencil with the expressive quality of watercolour. Use them dry for soft, blendable layering, or apply water to dissolve the pigment and create flowing washes of colour. Unlike Inktense, watercolour is not permanent once dry - re-wet the surface and rework the colour as needed.
Each pencil features a soft, smooth 3.5mm water-soluble strip encased in Californian incense cedar, making it easy to sharpen and handle. The hexagonal barrel provides extra control for detailed work. Highly pigmented for strong colour purity and lightfastness, these pencils are well suited to mixed media projects and subtle painting techniques. Sold as a box of 6.
