The Derwent Academy Watercolour Pencil in Bottle Green (shade 43) combines the precision of a pencil with the fluid beauty of watercolour. Use it dry for soft, blendable colour, or add water to create flowing washes and subtle gradients. The 3.5mm water-soluble strip is highly pigmented for strong colour purity, and unlike Inktense, watercolour pigment remains re-wettable once dry, giving you ongoing flexibility to rework and refine your artwork.
The hexagonal barrel, crafted from Californian incense cedar, sits comfortably in the hand and sharpens cleanly for detailed work. Sold as a box of 6 pencils, this set suits mixed media projects, illustration, and painting practice where understated, naturalistic colour is the goal.
