The Derwent Academy Watercolour Pencil in Rose Madder Lake (colour 21) gives artists and students the flexibility to draw dry or activate the soft, water-soluble strip with a wet brush to create smooth watercolour washes. The 3.5mm strip is highly pigmented for strong colour purity and light fastness, while the hexagonal Californian incense cedar barrel makes it easy to hold and sharpen.
Because watercolour pigment is not permanent like Inktense, the colour can be re-wetted and reworked once dry - ideal for blending, layering, and mixed media projects. Sold in a box of 6 pencils.
