Painterly Colour Control in Every Stroke
The Derwent Watercolour Pencil in Deep Cadmium gives artists and hobbyists the precision of a pencil with the expressive beauty of watercolour - all in a convenient box of 6.
Rich pigmentation and a soft 3.5mm water-soluble strip mean Deep Cadmium lays down with warmth and depth, then blooms into luminous washes the moment a wet brush touches the paper. Unlike permanent ink-based alternatives, Derwent Watercolour can be re-wetted after drying, giving you full control to lift, blend, and rework colour long after the initial mark is made.
Used dry, the pencils deliver smooth, layerable tone ideal for detailed illustration and mixed-media work. The hexagonal Californian incense cedar barrel sits comfortably in hand, sharpens cleanly, and keeps the strip protected between sessions.
A practical choice for artists, educators, and design students who want a trusted watercolour pencil that performs consistently across paper types and skill levels.
