Rich, Expressive Colour That Layers and Blends with Ease
The Derwent Artists Pencil in Plum is a premium-grade coloured pencil with a large-diameter, slightly waxy colour strip built for confident, expressive mark-making.
Artists and illustrators reach for the Derwent Artists range when they need dependable pigment quality across a wide spectrum. The Plum shade sits beautifully within the full 120-colour Artists collection, and the slightly waxy core blends smoothly across surfaces - ideal for layering rich, deep tones or building soft gradients in mixed-media and fine-art work. Each pencil features a rich aquamarine barrel with a double-dipped end for easy colour identification.
The large colour strip delivers broad, bold strokes as well as controlled line work, giving you real versatility across sketching, illustration, and colour studies. Whether working in a studio or at a shared desk, the consistent core hardness means reliable, repeatable results from the first stroke to the last.
This box of 6 Plum pencils is a practical choice for artists, educators, and studios who use a favourite shade heavily and want a reliable supply on hand. Derwent has been crafting quality pencils in the Lake District since 1832, and that heritage shows in every stroke.
