Derwent Lightfast pencils are formulated to be 100% lightfast, with an oil-based core that resists prolonged colour change so artwork remains true for up to 100 years under museum conditions. All colours comply with ASTM D6901 and Blue Wool Scale ISO 105 standards.
The buttery, velvety texture of the oil-based core allows rich, opaque colour laydown with easy blending and mixing directly on the page. A strong point supports detailed drawing and precise layering techniques.
