Derwent Inktense Pencils are a water-soluble coloured pencil that can be used dry or activated with water to produce vibrant, ink-like colour. Once dry, the colour becomes fixed, making it suitable for use on fabric such as silk and cotton, as well as paper. The Amber shade (colour reference 1710) comes in a box of 6.

The pencils feature a round stained ink blue barrel with a colour dip end and metallic blue trim. The smooth, firm laydown applies easily and produces a bright, intense finish. Colours dry quickly with minimal bleed, allowing adjacent colours to be placed without running into each other.
