Derwent Inktense Pencils are water-soluble colour pencils that transform when activated with water, turning smooth dry colour into vibrant, ink-like washes. Once dry, the colour is fixed and permanent, making these pencils suitable for use on fabric including silk and cotton, as well as paper.
Each pencil features a round stained ink blue barrel with a colour dip end and metallic blue trim. The large colour strip allows for expressive gestures and broad washes, while the firm laydown applies more like a pen than a traditional pencil. Colour reference: Beech Green 1510. Sold as a box of 6.
