The Cumberland FH939 display holds twelve decks of plastic coated playing cards, six with a red back and six with a blue back, at a card size of 60 x 90mm.
The plastic coating is the point of difference from a plain card deck. It is a thin film over the cardboard that lets the cards slide across each other when they are shuffled and dealt, and lets a spill be wiped off rather than soaking straight in. Cumberland describe the cards as being for learning exercises as well as card games, and mark them as suitable from age three up.
Two backing colours in one display is what makes this a useful buy for a venue or a classroom rather than a single deck. Red and blue backs let two games run side by side without the decks getting mixed, and a deck that does go astray is easy to sort back.
