Plywood boomerang blanks for culturally guided art lessons
Zart Wooden Boomerangs Pack of 10, supplier code CN520, are plywood boomerang shapes about 30cm long and 6cm wide, sold as a pack of ten for making and responding lessons.
Zart Education recommends teachers and schools work in consultation with their local Koorie Community when designing teaching and learning activities, starting locally and extending out. The supplier sees these blanks as a starting point for meaningful making and responding lessons, where discussion builds student understanding while acknowledging, respecting and valuing Aboriginal identities and cultural expressions.
Zart also states that any art making that replicates Aboriginal cultural expressions must be done in consultation with the appropriate Aboriginal people, the owners of that cultural property. Planning a lesson with that guidance in place helps students make and respond to art in a respectful way.
For decorating, find paint markers in craft markers, colour in craft paints, more plywood shapes in wooden craft supplies, and the full Zart range for the art room.
