Covered stones with a hairy texture to explore
Zart Textured Poly Stones Hairy, supplier code NP130, are covered stones with a hairy texture from The Creative School Supply Company, which lists them as Grassy Stones.
The Creative School Supply Company describes these as covered stones with a hairy texture and calls them a great sensory experience. It says the pack includes a range of sizes. The supplier lists them under its craft range alongside a mossy textured version, so the two can be used side by side when comparing surfaces.
Texture is the point of this product: students can feel and describe the hairy covering and compare it with smooth or mossy surfaces. The mixed sizes in the pack give some variety to sort, handle or arrange in a tactile display or a craft project.
Place the stones in a tray beside other textures so students can compare them by touch. Compare surfaces with the mossy stones in the Zart range. Browse sensory toys and early learning and sensory resources, and see educational craft supplies.
