Zart Shrink-Me Plastic A4 Clear Pack of 10, supplier code AE250, is thin, flexible polystyrene plastic from The Creative School Supply Company that shrinks and thickens when heated.
Before heating, the sheets can be coloured with permanent markers or colour pencils and cut into shapes. When heated in a conventional oven or with a heat gun, the design shrinks and becomes thicker and more rigid while keeping its colour. The supplier notes that pigment intensifies with shrinking. The pack contains 10 clear A4 sheets.
To plan size, the supplier suggests working out the finished size you want, then multiplying the length and width by 2.25 to find the artwork size. Shrinkage is approximate and designs will not always stay in proportion, so allow for some distortion. Follow the supplier's heating instructions each time.
