Tall polystyrene cones as a base for dolls and trees
Zart Poly Cones Pack of 5, supplier code DE3012, are the larger 18cm polystyrene cones from The Creative School Supply Company, supplied five to a pack.
The Creative School Supply Company calls these cones a starting point for doll making, as costumes may be pinned or glued on easily. It adds modelling, construction and Christmas projects as other uses. The supplier lists two sizes, 10cm and 18cm, each in packs of 5. This product is the 18cm size, supplier code DE3012.
The taller cone gives more room for a full length costume or a layered decoration on a doll or tree. Because decorations can be pinned as well as glued, students can try out a design before fixing it in place. Five cones let a small group work on matching pieces.
Gather fabric scraps and pins before starting a doll. Pair these with the smaller cones and poly balls in the Zart range. Browse craft foam shapes and craft shapes and blanks, and choose a glue from craft adhesives.
