Short brass split pins for paper construction and puppets
Zart Paper Fasteners 11mm Pack of 100, supplier code CL114, is a pack of 100 brass split pins from The Creative School Supply Company, listed at L11mm and W8mm at the spear.
The Creative School Supply Company describes these as brass split pins for paper construction and puppet making, sold in packs of 100. The supplier lists two sizes on the one product page: this 11mm pin, measured as L11mm and W8mm at the spear, and a longer 19mm pin. Each size has its own code, and this listing is the 11mm, code CL114.
Split pins join layers of paper or card at a single point, a common way to make jointed puppet limbs and moving parts in paper construction. The 11mm length is the shorter of the two sizes the supplier lists, with the same 8mm spear width as the 19mm pin.
Cardboard bases and circles make simple rotating parts to test the pins on. The Zart paper and cardboard construction charts show split pins among their joining methods. Browse paper fasteners, filing fasteners, educational craft supplies and Zart.
