Kraft card hangers to weave with yarn and beads
Zart Kraft Weaving Hanger Shapes Pack of 12, supplier code CB748, are kraft card frames for threading yarn around and across to create web-like effects, which Zart describes as a textile project starter for all ages and abilities.
The Creative School Supply Company, maker of Zart, calls this a quick and easy activity with eye-catching results. Students thread an assortment of yarns around and across each hanger and can add beads onto the yarn for further interest. Completed hangers can be added to classroom displays, or used as a decor ornament or gift.
The outer kraft card frame can be used plain or coloured before use, and the brand suggests Slicks paint sticks, pens and markers. To display finished pieces outside, Zart suggests sealing the frame with a layer of Viponds Acrylic Glaze or Mod Podge Outdoor.
Yarn, beads and a sealer finish each hanger. Thread the hangers with yarn from knitting craft supplies, add beads from beading supplies, and seal or decorate them with products from craft adhesives and the Zart range.
