Natural barkless logs for open-ended discovery play
Zart Discovery Barkless Logs Large, supplier code WP035, is an assortment of natural barkless branch logs from The Creative School Supply Company, supplied in a calico bag.
The Creative School Supply Company lists this as an assortment of natural barkless branch logs in a calico bag, part of its Discovery sensory play range. The supplier gives the dimensions of the pieces as varying from 2 to 12cm. Because they are natural branch pieces, sizes and shapes vary across the assortment, which gives children a varied set of pieces to handle and arrange.
Barkless means the logs come without their bark, leaving the natural wood of each branch piece showing. The calico bag gives the set a simple home on the shelf between sessions, so the logs stay together. The supplier lists the set under sensory play and educational resources.
Other natural materials such as branch pieces, driftwood, twig chips and bark sit well alongside these logs in a discovery space. Browse early learning and sensory, sensory toys, wooden craft supplies and Zart.
