Bauble shaped looms to weave, colour and embellish
Zart Cardboard Weaving Looms Xmas Baubles Pack of 12, supplier code CB922, are A6 bauble shaped looms made from sturdy 1.2mm thick white cardboard for festive weaving at school or at home.
The pack holds two bauble designs. The Creative School Supply Company, which makes Zart, calls them a fun and creative textile project for the classroom or at home. Beyond the weaving, the brand says the looms can be collaged, painted, embellished and decorated with pens, inks and markers, so the white card frame becomes part of the artwork.
Zart says weaving is great for fine motor skill development and mindfulness, and that it explores line, colour and pattern. A bauble outline gives the project a clear festive theme, and each student works on a single A6 loom that they can colour and decorate as well as weave.
The bauble frame can also be collaged, painted and coloured, as Zart suggests. Choose yarns from knitting craft supplies, colour the frames with craft markers, and see more festive card frames in craft cardboards and the Zart range.
