Plaster cloth in bulk for classroom sculpture
Zart ArtRoc Plaster Bandages (Modroc) 10kg, supplier code ML315, is a bulk supply of plaster impregnated cloth strips for modelling and construction in the art room.
Zart describes ArtRoc as a wonderful construction material that can be used on its own or combined with armature wire, box construction, moulds, chicken wire or rolled up newspaper. It dries hard and dries quickly, and the supplier says it is easy to manipulate and form. This listing is the 10kg pack of ArtRoc cloth.
ArtRoc needs only a small amount of water to activate. Cut the cloth into smaller strips with Modroc shears, dip each strip in water and gently squeeze out the excess, then layer it over the model. Once dry, the construction can be painted, drawn on or glossed, and embellishments can be glued on.
Zart notes that any holes and staples need to be made during construction. Build the frame with wire and bases from the Zart range, then finish with craft paints, paper mache craft supplies and modelling clay.
